SI (Standard Inserts) Ultrasonic/Heat Staking Inserts
SI (Standard Inserts) Ultrasonic/Heat Staking Inserts are hexagonal-shaped body inserts that provide rotational torque resistance and knurling provides torque out resistance. The heat staking inserts are installed by pressing the insert into the mounting hole with a thermal press to melt the plastic surrounding the insert. The SI® brand inserts employ press-in and heat/ultrasonic installation methods to provide strong, reusable, and permanent threads in plastic. These SI® inserts are available in brass, stainless steel, and aluminum. The applications include wearables, smartphones, handheld devices, automotive, aerospace and defense, medical, transportation, industrial, and recreational equipment.
IUA™, IUB™, & IUC™ Inserts
The Tapered Thru-Threaded IUA™, IUB™, and IUC™ Inserts are designed for use in tapered holes. A tapered mounting hole allows rapid and accurate alignment before installation. The tapered thru-threaded aluminum inserts are ideal for lightweight designs. The aluminum and stainless steel inserts offer a lead-free alternative.
IUTA™, IUTB™, & IUTC™ Inserts
The Straight Wall, Thru-Threaded IUTA™, IUTB™, and IUTC™ Inserts are self-aligning lead-in of inserts that provide accurate alignment before installation. The aluminum inserts are ideal for lightweight designs; aluminum and stainless steel inserts offer a lead-free alternative.
IUTFB™ Inserts
The Flanged, Straight Wall, Thru-Threaded IUTFB™ Inserts provide large surface area and high pullout in reverse entry applications. The self-aligning lead-in provides accurate alignment before installation.
ISA™, ISB™, & ISC™ Inserts
The Symmetrical, Thru-Threaded ISA™, ISB™, and ISC™ Inserts come in a symmetrical design that eliminates the need for orientation. The aluminum inserts are ideal for lightweight designs.
MSIA™ & MSIB™ Inserts
The microPEM® Symmetrical, Thru-Threaded MSIA™ and MSIB™ Inserts come with threads as small as M1. The symmetrical design eliminates the need for orientation. These inserts provide excellent performance in a wide range of plastics. The aluminum inserts are ideal for lightweight designs.
