Qorvo QPC1008 GaAs MMIC RF Attenuator
Qorvo QPC1008 GaAs (Gallium Arsenide) MMIC (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) RF Attenuator combines a 5-bit Digital Step Attenuator (DSA) with a 1dB Voltage Variable Attenuator (VVA). The DSA is controlled by a single voltage of either 0V or -5V, while the VVA is controlled using a single voltage varied from -5V to 0V. The digital bit values are 1dB (LSB), 2dB, 4dB, 8dB, and 16dB. When combined with the 1dB analog bit, a total of 32dB of attenuation is achieved. The QPC1008 has a low insertion loss of 5.5dB at 10GHz and is 50Ω matched, eliminating the need for RF port matching. The Qorvo QPC1008 RF Attenuator is offered in a 3.9mm x 3.9mm QFN package with an exposed pad for enhanced thermal performance.
