Analog Devices AD7175-2 Sigma-Delta Rail to Rail ADC Available at Mouser

December 1, 2014 - Mouser Electronics, Inc. is now stocking the AD7175-2 24-Bit, 250kSPS Sigma Delta (Σ‑Δ) Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) from Analog Devices Inc (ADI). The AD7175-2 is a sigma-delta ADC with a true rail‑to‑rail input buffer, providing leading-edge noise performance at up to 250ksps. This ADC can be configured as two fully differential, or four single-ended, analog inputs with a channel scan rate of 50ksps per channel. This ADC is designed to operate as a fast settling, high resolution, multiplexed Σ‑Δ ADC with high levels of configurability.

The Analog Devices AD7175-2 24-Bit, 250kSPS Sigma Delta (ADC), available from Mouser Electronics, is a high resolution 24‑bit Σ‑Δ ADC for chemical analysis and environmental monitoring applications. A wide dynamic range enables smaller signal deviations to be measured as required within analytical laboratory instrumentation systems. The AD7175-2 has four independent channels and four independent setups. The developer can select any of the analog input pairs on any channel, as well as any of the four setups for any channel, providing full flexibility in the channel configuration. This also allows per channel configuration when using differential inputs, as well as single-ended inputs, because each channel can have its own dedicated setup. A precision 2.5 V low drift (2 ppm/°C) band gap internal reference with output reference buffer adds additional functionality which reduces external component count.

Integrated true rail-to-rail buffers on the analog inputs and external reference inputs, allowing the ADC to easily drive high impedance inputs. An SPI interface allows configuration of many of the ADC options including power down modes, selecting the internal or external voltage references, gain, offset calibration values, and enabling the internal temperature sensor. This ADI device is specified over the extended industrial temperature range of ‑40°C to +105°C.

The AD7175‑2SDZ evaluation board, also available from Mouser Electronics, allows full access to all AD7175‑2 features for test and evaluation. The board can operate as a stand-alone test and measurement board or can operate with an ADI system development platform.
