TE Connectivity enetSEAL+ Signal Validation Kit
TE Connectivity's (TE) enetSEAL+ Signal Validation Kit is used for 100BaseT1 (IEEE 802.3bw) 100Mbps connections. This kit enables the system electrical engineer to validate the TE enetSEAL+ connector system to the TC2 Open Alliance specifications for single-pair Ethernet (SPE) communication over unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable. This TE kit contains two test board assemblies and five 3-meter jacketed, unshielded twisted pair (UTP) 20AWG cable assemblies.
The two test boards are populated with one enetSEAL+ 180° header and two SMA connectors that attach to a network analyzer, one at each end of the cable chain. The 15-meter total cable link between the two test boards can be assembled by mating the five 3m cable assemblies included in the kit. This connection will replicate the 100BaseT1 specification, which allows for a maximum of four in-line connections within the channel. This connection allows the engineer to validate a full 15-meter whole communication channel (WCC) to meet 100BaseT1 and TC2 specifications.
