EPCOS / TDK PCM120T Shielded SMT Power Inductors

TDK PCM120T Shielded SMT Power Inductors are optimized for high saturation currents and low DC resistance. The series offers inductance values from 0.4μH to 10μH, and saturation currents of up to 80A are reached depending on the L value. These optimal saturation properties are achieved using an iron alloy core, while flat wire windings keep losses as low as possible. This construction results in common resistance values (RDC) of 0.72mΩ (0.4μH) to 9mΩ (10μH). TDK PCM120T Shielded SMT Power Inductors provide outstanding EMC performance thanks to the closed housing of ferrite material without an external gap. The modules are ideal for automatic solder joint inspection (AOI) and achieve a coplanarity of <0.1mm due to a lead frame structure. The metal cores provide resistance against high voltage pulses in accordance with ISO7636.

TDK PCM120T inductors are designed to meet the higher current and performance improvements required in automotive, server, and telecommunication applications. The typical fields of use include primary DC/DC converters in automotive applications such as ADAS, power supplies for servers and base stations, and various DC/DC converters. The TDK PCM120T Shielded SMT Power Inductors are also suited for interference suppression, for example, of electric motors in vehicles.

The PCM120T series features dimensions of 12.7mm x 15.8mm x 11.5mm (W x L x H), RoHS compatibility, AEC-Q200 certification, and a wide temperature range from -55°C to +165°C.

These power cube metal inductors are ideal when a high saturation current of up to 80A and a low RDC are needed.
