JST Connectors SQM Airbag Connector
JST Connectors SQM Airbag Connector features intelligent connector position assurance (CPA) to allow secure locking while preventing incomplete mating on assembly lines, resulting in improved connector retention force. This connector features scooping (kojiri) preventive construction, and the terminal construction protects the contact part of each terminal with a box, preventing deformation of the contact when processing a wire harness. The compact design is approximately 13mm smaller than SQS connectors in total length, going from 31.3mm to 18mm. The ferrite core provides simple and reliable noise suppression characteristics, and the connector is safe to operate in a -30°C to +80°C temperature range. The SQM connector from JST is designed for airbag applications with an applicable wire size of 0.3mm2 to 0.5mm2.
