Analog Devices Inc. MAX17639 Synchronous Step-Down DC-DC Converters

Analog Devices MAX17639 Synchronous Step-Down DC-DC Converters are high‑efficiency, high‑voltage devices designed to deliver robust performance across a wide range of industrial and distributed power applications. The ADI MAX17639 delivers continuous output currents of up to 10A with additional supporting peak currents up to 12A. These converters generate adjustable output voltages from 0.6V to as high as 90% of the input voltage.

An included MODE/SYNC pin enables configuration for forced PWM or switching‑frequency‑modulation (SFM) operation and allows synchronization to an external clock. The EN/UVLO pin provides programmable input undervoltage lockout thresholds for controlled turn‑on and turn‑off behavior, while the soft‑start (SS) pin helps limit inrush current during startup. A RESET/TJ pin is also available to monitor output‑voltage status or directly measure die temperature, improving reliability by providing real‑time thermal insight rather than relying solely on estimated junction temperatures.
