ams OSRAM SFH 2705 & SFH 2706 Silicon PIN Photodiodes
ams OSRAM SFH 2705 and SFH 2706 Silicon PIN Photodiodes are designed for use in health monitoring applications like heart rate monitoring and pulse oximetry. The SFH 2705 and SFH 2706 Photodiodes feature high sensitivity at 530nm green and 660nm red, providing a high signal at these wavelengths. This feature enables manufacturers of fitness trackers, smartwatches, and medical patches to reduce the driving current and save battery life for a longer user experience before recharging.
The ams OSRAM SFH 2706 Silicon PIN Photodiode is integration-compatible with the device's predecessors with a 2.0mm x 1.8mm x 0.6mm package. The SFH 2705 has a 2.2mm x 2.5mm x 0.6mm square form factor, allowing even more flexible placement of photodiodes next to LEDs in the system, such as in smartwatches.
