Kinetic Technologies KTU1128 USB Type-C 28V EPR Port Protectors

Kinetic Technologies KTU1128 USB Type-C™ 28V EPR Port Protectors offer four paths with overvoltage protection (OVP) for USB Type-C's CC and SBU signals. The Kinetic Technologies KTU1128 will deactivate all paths to safeguard system-side circuits if an overvoltage event occurs, like the PD controller. SBU and CC switches have minimal on-capacitance for high-speed signal transmission without signal loss. CC1/2 switches have low on-resistance, allowing V_CONN power up to 1.25A. In dead battery situations, internal 5.1kΩ resistors automatically pull down on CC1/2 to ensure a 5V supply on V_BUS from the upstream source. The KTU1128 is available in two packages: a 16-bump WLCSP (1.694mm x 1.694mm) or a 20-pin 3mm x 3mm WQFN, both RoHS and Green compliant.
