Commercial & Tactical UAV Systems

Littelfuse Commercial and Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Systems offer solutions for Li-Ion battery protection, battery chargers, and power distribution. These systems provide fuses for input protection/overcurrent protection, MOSFETs for semiconductor switching, and TVS diodes for DC output transient/surge protection. The commercial and tactical UAV systems offer battery protection >60V and provide main-pack fault isolation, battery disconnect/power path control (pre-charge support), and branch circuit overcurrent protection. ESD Protection Solutions

Littelfuse provides a wide range of products that protect components from ESD threats. ESD threats are extremely fast, low-energy events that can wreak havoc on electronic equipment. Trends in reduced chip protection and harsher end-user environments are requiring the need for enhanced protection solutions. Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diodes

Littelfuse TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) Diodes are a broad range of circuit protection products designed to protect electronic circuits against transients and overvoltage threats such as EFT (electrically fast transients) and ESD (electro-static discharge). Lightning strikes, inductive load switching, and ESD cause electrical over-stresses associated with the transmission on data lines and electronic circuits. Offered in a variety of surface mount and through-hole circuit board mounting formats, the TVS Diode portfolio includes high peak pulse current and peak pulse power options up to 20kA and 30kW, respectively. Littelfuse TVS Diodes are chosen for the fast response time (low clamping voltage), lower capacitance, and low leakage current. TVS Diodes are available in both unidirectional (unipolar) or bidirectional (bipolar) diodes circuit configurations. 

Battery Fuel Gauge IC Protection

Littelfuse offers protection components for battery fuel gauge ICs. Battery Fuel Gauge ICs are critical components to the battery management system within battery-operated electronics, including drones, medical equipment, small appliances, and mobile and wearable devices. Fuel gauge ICs monitor the battery state of charge, sending the data to power management ICs to provide optimal battery life, longevity, and overall system performance. Protecting the fuel gauge ICs is important due to the increased voltage in batteries up to 20V for USB-C. Sustained overvoltage, ESD, overcurrent faults, and overheating are all hazards that could damage the battery management system if proper protection is not used. 

Fuel-Powered/Hybrid Military UAV Systems

Littelfuse Fuel-Powered/Hybrid Military Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Systems offer solutions for power conversion and DC bus, power distribution, and charger/ground power. These systems support power conversion and a DC bus with a rectifier diode that converts AC line voltage to DC. The fuel-powered/hybrid military Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) systems provide TVS diodes, fuses, and MOSFETs for semiconductor switches, surge protection, and rectification. These systems offer AEC-Q/MIL-grade products across various functions. Typical applications include Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), military, and border surveillance.

SP1006 TVS Diode Array SPA™ for ESD

Littelfuse's SP1006 Series features zener diodes fabricated in a proprietary silicon avalanche technology protect each I/O pin to provide a high level of protection for electronic equipment that may experience destructive electrostatic discharges (ESD). The robust diodes can safely absorb repetitive ESD strikes at ±30kV (contact discharge, IEC 61000-4-2) without performance degradation. Additionally, each diode can safely dissipate 5A of 8/20μs surge current (IEC61000-4-5) with very low clamping voltages. The Littelfuse SP1006 TVS Diode Arrays are well-suited for applications such as portable electronics, portable medical devices, portable media / MP3 Players, portable navigational devices, digital cameras, PDAs, smart phones, and mobile phones.

Circuit Protection for IoT Wearable Devices

Littelfuse Circuit Protection for IoT Wearable Devices provide protection and are also extremely small in size to be compatible with the small form factor of IoT Wearables. For general purpose circuits (buttons, audio, etc.), the SP1013 and SP1014 are available in 0201 size; for the ultimate in small size, the SP1020 and SP1021 are 01005 size. For high-frequency circuits (RF), the SP3022 is available with 0.35pF and 0201 size.

Littelfuse Consumer Drone Systems offer solutions for battery chargers, battery systems, and payload systems.
