Cylindrical Housed Linear Voice Coil Actuators

BEI Kimco / Sensata Cylindrical Housed Linear Voice Coil Actuators (VCAs) build on the semi-housed VCA concept by incorporating self-aligning bushings and a shaft. The housed VCA design fully captures the coil assembly, maintaining concentricity with the field assembly. An added internal flex circuit protects external moving wires and limits axial travel at both ends of the stroke. This BEI Kimco / Sensata linear actuator is designed as a single unit mounted on one side and eliminates the need for user-supplied alignment systems for easy integration. Housed VCAs deliver all the inherent advantages of VCA technology, including direct-drive, zero backlash, and cog-free operation for accurate motion, high acceleration, and single-phase functionality.
