TMS320F28P55x/TMS320F28P55x-Q1 Real-Time MCUs
Texas Instruments TMS320F28P55x/TMS320F28P55x-Q1 Real-Time Microcontrollers (MCUs) are part of the C2000™ real-time MCU family of scalable, ultra-low latency devices designed for efficiency in power electronics. These applications include but are not limited to high power density, high switching frequencies, and support for using GaN and SiC technologies. The real-time control subsystem is based on TI's 32-bit C28x DSP core, which provides 150MHz of signal-processing performance for fixed-point or floating code running from either on-chip SRAM or Flash. The C28x CPU is boosted by the Trigonometric Math Unit (TMU), Floating-Point Unit (FPU), and VCRC (Cyclical Redundancy Check) extended instruction sets. These instruction sets speed up common algorithms that are key to real-time control systems.
