FRED Pt® Ultrafast Recovery Rectifiers

Vishay Semiconductors FRED (Fast Recovery Epitaxial Diodes) Pt® Ultrafast Recovery Rectifiers offer designers a highly flexible solution that's equally at home in consumer and automotive applications. With ratings from 100V to 600V and from 2A to 150A - unique in the industry - this series allows designers to increase the efficiency of power supplies with devices designed to minimize conduction and/or switching losses. The extremely low leakage current at high temperatures, careful design of chip terminations, and construction with high-quality materials make the Vishay Semiconductors FRED Pt Ultrafast Recovery Rectifiers the ideal choice for automotive applications as well.

eSMP® SMP Fast Recovery Rectifiers

Vishay eSMP® SMP Fast Recovery Rectifiers are general-purpose devices ideal for use in secondary rectification and freewheeling in both consumer and automotive applications. The rectifiers offer low forward voltage, low power loss, and low thermal resistance. The Fred Pt® devices offer increased power density by providing high current ratings typically reserved for the SMA (DO-214AC) package. These include a low forward voltage drop that reduces power losses and improves efficiency. This series is also ideal for automated placement, allowing for automated optical inspection (AOI) in automotive systems. These rectifiers are available in a surface-mounted DO-220AA package with a low 1.0mm profile (typical). Vishay eSMP SMP Fast Recovery Rectifiers are available in standard and AEC-Q101-qualified versions.
