RX14T Motor Control Microcontrollers
Renesas Electronics RX14T Motor Control Microcontrollers offer improved performance and enhanced functionality compared to the RX13T and RX23T MCU groups. These MCUs are entry-level inverters that feature a 48MHz RXv2 core with a Trigonometric Function Unit (TFU) and rich analog and timer functions. The RX14T motor control MCUs feature a sensorless FOC for a single motor at a 20kHz carrier frequency (50µs cycle), with approximately 65% CPU usage. These MCUs incorporate a GPT timer, integrated MTU3 timer, automatic deadtime insertion for sawtooth PWM, and asymmetric complementary PWM generation. The RX14T MCUs feature a Program Gain Amplifier (PGA), a comparator, and a DAC, which help reduce the external circuits required for overcurrent detection and motor drive. Typical applications include motor control, system control, PFC control, home appliances, and building automation.
