Analog Devices ADuM415x SPIsolator™ Digital Isolators feature iCoupler® technology and allow designers to implement isolation in designs without the cost, size, power, performance, and reliability constraints associated with optocouplers. The SPIsolator™ digital isolators are dedicated serial peripheral interface (SPI) isolators that have a small footprint, simple design, fast speed, and high data integrity. Unlike optocoupler and previous digital isolator solutions, SPIsolator Digital Isolators offer the ability to increase performance and lower cost while reducing board space using a single compact form factor. The ADuM415x product offering consists of ADuM4150 Dedicated Isolators for High-Speed SPI Interfaces (with 1/1 Aux channel directionality), ADUM4151 Dedicated Isolators for SPI Interfaces (with 2/1 Aux channel directionality), ADUM3152 Dedicated Isolators for SPI Interfaces (with 1/2 Aux channel directionality), ADUM3153 Dedicated Isolators for SPI Interfaces (with 0/3 Aux channel directionality), and ADUM3154 Dedicated Isolators for SPI Interfaces (with Control for up to 4 Slaves).

ADuM4154 SPIsolator Digital Isolators

Analog Devices Inc. ADuM4154 SPIsolator Digital Isolators are designed as 5kVrms, 7-Channel, SPIsolator™ digital isolators optimized for a serial peripheral interface (SPI). Based on the Analog Devices Inc., iCoupler® chip-scale transformer technology, the low propagation delay and jitter in the CLK, MO/SI, MI/SO, and SS channels support SPI clock rates of up to 17MHz. ADuM4154 also provides a slave select multiplexing system that allows up to four slave devices to be serviced from one isolator. The slave select system propagates to the desired output with full propagation speed, allowing tight timing control. The isolated SS multiplexer is addressed through a 250kbps low-speed dual port with 2.5μs of setup time. The design makes the ADuM4154 digital isolators ideal for industrial programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and sensor isolation applications.
