Circuit Protection for IoT Wearable Devices

Littelfuse Circuit Protection for IoT Wearable Devices provide protection and are also extremely small in size to be compatible with the small form factor of IoT Wearables. For general purpose circuits (buttons, audio, etc.), the SP1013 and SP1014 are available in 0201 size; for the ultimate in small size, the SP1020 and SP1021 are 01005 size. For high-frequency circuits (RF), the SP3022 is available with 0.35pF and 0201 size.

PolySwitch Surface Mount Resettable PTCs

Littelfuse PolySwitch Surface-Mount (SMD) Resettable PTCs provide overcurrent protection for applications where space is at a premium, and resettable protection is desired. The components are reliable and capable of protecting computer and consumer electronics against temporary overcurrent faults. Package size varies from 0402 to 3425, while the current hold ranges from 50mA to 7.0A. The Littelfuse PolySwitch SMD product family is qualified to strict automotive standards (following the AECQ200 specification). As a result, these PTCs are suitable for protecting Electronic Control Units (ECUs) against damage from faults that would otherwise require costly, complete module replacement.

The components are designed to limit unsafe currents while allowing constant safe current levels, resistance will "reset" automatically when the fault is removed, and temperature returns to safe levels. The ability of the PTCs to reset themselves after exposure to a fault current makes them ideal within circuits that are not easily accessible. PTCs are typically used as circuit protection in applications where sensitive components are at constant risk of damage from overcurrent conditions. The components are also ideal for situations where frequent overcurrent conditions occur or constant uptime is required. Littelfuse Resettable PTCs (PPTCs) are typically used in consumer electronics, power line, telecom, I/O port, process control and medical equipment protection applications.

Low Resistance Resettable PTCs

Littelfuse Low Resistance Resettable PPTCs offer ultra-low normal operating resistance while maintaining the same performance of other Littelfuse PPTC products. The low resistance devices offer a 0.1A to 6A maximum current range, a 5V to 12V maximum voltage range, and overcurrent and over-temperature protections for various applications. The low-resistance resettable PPTCs are available in the Surface Mount Low Rho SMD Series, the Surface Mount LoRho Series, and the Battery Strap SL Series. The components are halogen-free, lead-free, and RoHS Compliant.
