MAX17232 & MAX17233 Dual Buck Controllers

Analog Devices MAX17232 and MAX17233 Synchronous Dual Buck Controllers are step-down DC-DC controllers with integrated MOSFETs. Each device operates over a 3.5V to 36V input voltage range with 42V input transient protection. The MAX17232 and MAX17233 converters operate in dropout conditions at 95% of the duty cycle. These controllers generate fixed output voltages of 3.3V/5V and can program the output voltage between 1V to 10V. The MAX17232 and MAX17233 converters use a current-mode-control architecture. Each device can be operated in pulse-width modulation (PWM) or pulse frequency modulation (PFM) control schemes. The PWM operation provides constant frequency operation at all loads and is useful in applications sensitive to switching frequency. The PFM operation disables negative inductor current, and skips pulse at light loads for high efficiency. The MAX17232 and MAX17233 converters come with low-resistance on-chip MOSFETs, ensuring high efficiency at full load and simplifying the layout.

MAX1722, MAX1723, & MAX1724 DC-DC Converters

Analog Devices MAX1722, MAX1723, and MAX1724 DC-DC Converters are compact, high-efficiency, step-up DC-DC converters available in tiny TSOT-5 and µDFN-6 packages. These devices feature a low 1.5µA quiescent supply current to ensure the highest possible light-load efficiency. Optimized for operation from one to two alkaline or nickel-metal-hydride (NiMH) cells, or a single Li+ cell, these devices are ideal for applications where extremely small quiescent currents and ultra-small sizes are critical. The built-in synchronous rectification significantly improves efficiency and reduces size and cost by eliminating the need for an external Schottky diode.

MAX17233EVKIT Buck Controller Evaluation Kit

Analog Devices MAX17233EVKIT Buck Controller Evaluation Kit is a fully assembled and tested application circuit board for the MAX17233 high-voltage and dual synchronous step-down controller. This evaluation kit is set up to provide 5V and 3.3V from an input voltage ranging from 6V to 36V. Each buck rail delivers up to a 5A load current. The MAX17233EVKIT evaluation kit operates at a switching frequency of 2.2MHz for both buck converters. This evaluation kit comes with jumpers to evaluate the features of the step-down controller.
